Guwahati, Sept. 19 -- Assam today bade a deep farewell to cultural icon and singer ZubeenGarg with lakhs of people coming out to streets voluntarily in different parts of the state including Assam's capital city Guwahati.

People including elderly, women and children came out to the streets and light candles to pay tribute to the legendary singer even as Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma assuring that the government has been in touch with the Indian High Commissioner in Singapore to bring back the mortal remains of the deceased musician to Assam.
