Jammu, Jan. 27 -- One of the oldest pencil factories of Jammu was gutted in a major fire here in Talab Tillo area on Tuesday.
Police said that a fire broke out inside 'Hindustan' Pencil factory located on Akhnoor road in Talab Tillo area.
They said that immediate cause of fire is not yet known, adding, "the manufactured items along with some electronic gadgets have been completely gutted in the fire but no burn injuries are reported in the incident.
On receiving the information, nine fire tenders along with dozens of fire fighters and local police rushed to the spot to control the devastating fire.
"The fire is almost controlled but fire fighting operation is still in progress to douse the flames," they said.
