Hyderabad, April 10 -- Cyberabad Police Commissioner M Ramesh has invoked the Preventive Detention (PD) Act against five interstate offenders involved in a sensational daylight dacoity at a jewellery store in Chandanagar.
The accused-identified as Abhishek Pandey (kingpin), Praduman Kumar Singh, Aashish Kumar Singh, Rohit Kumar Rajak, and Shivam Pandey-all hail from Bihar and are reportedly involved in multiple property offences using firearms.
Police said the gang carried out a recce before targeting Khazana Jewellery on August 12, 2025. During the robbery, they allegedly opened fire, threatened staff at gunpoint, and looted gold-coated silver ornaments.
