Shimla, March 26 -- In a significant judgment impacting pay parity claims among government employees, the Himachal High Court has quashed a 2018 order of the State Administrative Tribunal (SAT) that had directed Himachal government to grant revised pay scales to Inspectors in the Cooperative Department on the pattern of Punjab.

A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Gurmeet Singh Sandhiwalia and Justice Ranjan Sharma allowed a batch of writ petitions filed by the State of Himachal Pradesh, setting aside the Tribunal's common order dated April 13, 2018.
