Thiruvananthapuram, Jan. 23 -- Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Friday condemned the alleged assault on a pastor in Odisha, describing it as part of a wider pattern of violence driven by hatred and intolerance.

In a statement, Vijayan said the incident was not an isolated crime but a reflection of an atmosphere being systematically fostered by the Sangh Parivar. He termed the alleged act of forcing a person to eat cow dung as "deeply inhuman," and alleged that such incidents are encouraged by the silence and complicity of BJP-led governments.
