Chennai, Sept. 12 -- Rattled at documents pertaining to his acquiringagricultural property going viral on social media, BJP leader K Annamalaitoday clarified that he had purchased the property in Coimbatore districtto pursue his passion in organic farming and to start a dairy.
According to him this is the first and only immovable property he hadpurchased till now and he had also applied for a loan to start the dairyunder the PMEGP scheme, which is currently under process.
Confirming that he had bought the property at Kalapatti, complying withall state laws, the former state BJP President and the present NationalGoverning Council member, in a statement here said,: "Yes, it's true thatI recently purchased agricultural land on July 12, 2025....
