Tirumala, Jan. 16 -- The annual Paruveta Utsavam of Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy was celebrated with religious fervour and grandeur at Tirumala on Friday, the day following Makara Sankranti, observed as Kanuma.
The Goda Parinayotsavam was also held on the same day, offering a visual and spiritual treat to devotees.
As part of the celebrations, special garlands sent from Sri Andal (Sri Godadevi) of Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple, Tirupati, were adorned on the Mulavirat of Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy.
After the completion of early morning rituals, Sri Malayappa Swamy was taken out in a Tiruchi procession, followed by Sri Krishna Swamy in another Tiruchi.
