Bengaluru, Feb. 26 -- Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara on Thursday objected to remarks made by Piyush Goyal against Rahul Gandhi, stating that such statements were completely inappropriate and would not help the political narrative of the ruling party.

Addressing reporters in Bengaluru, the minister said this was not the first time that leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party had made remarks targeting Rahul Gandhi.

He alleged that such statements were repeatedly made with the intention of lowering the morale of the Congress leader, but maintained that such efforts would not succeed politically or personally.
