Bhubaneswar, Feb. 2 -- Paradip Port Authority (PPA) has ushered in 2026 on a high note by achieving its highest-ever cargo handling for the month of January, marking a significant milestone in the Port's operational history.

Paradip Port handled 14.44 million metric tonnes (MMT) of cargo during January 2026, surpassing its previous January record of 14.32 MMT, which was set in 2024. This achievement further strengthens Paradip Port's standing as one of India's leading Major Ports, a statement said.

The record-breaking performance reflects the Port's steady operational growth, driven by sustained infrastructure augmentation, streamlined procedures, and enhanced coordination among terminals and key stakeholders.
