Ranchi, March 12 -- The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) team from Ranchi on Thursday caught a Panchayat Secretary red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 8,000 in Bishunpur block of Gumla district in Jharkhand.

According to official sources, the accused, Panchayat Secretary Kiran Kusum Khalkho, was arrested following a complaint lodged with the ACB by Parmeshwar Singh, a resident of Chatti Serka Panchayat under Bishunpur police station area.

In his written complaint, Parmeshwar Singh stated that he had been selected in a Gram Sabha meeting for the repair of a well on his land.
