Quetta, Nov. 3 -- The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the Balochistan Assembly today sharply criticised the provincial Health Department for failing to act on long-pending directives over serious financial irregularities, illegal procurements, and missing medical supplies at Sandeman Provincial Hospital in Quetta, as per Pakistani media.
Chaired by Asghar Ali Tareen, the PAC reviewed a special audit of the hospital along with several related audit paras concerning the department.
The report uncovered a trail of irregularities, highlighting the general neglect of the province's already poor healthcare by the provincial government, underscoring long-standing problems in Balochistan's health sector.
