Islamabad, Feb. 2 -- In his first meeting with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, who is from the opposition PTI party, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif underscored the importance of cooperation between the federal government and the KP provincial administration.
The meeting, held at the PM's House in Islamabad at Sharif's invitation, focused on KP's outstanding financial issues and its worsening security, particularly in regards to combating terror groups.
According to state broadcaster PTV News, Sharif said that sustained coordination between Islamabad and provinces was essential for national progress and effective public service delivery.
