Islamabad, Oct. 31 -- Pakistan's Foreign Ministry on Friday voiced cautious optimism ahead of the third round of talks with the Taliban next week in Istanbul, expressing hope that this round of dialogues will yield "positive results."Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tahir Andarabi said here that the second round of talks, which concluded on Thursday, had been extended from two to four days as both sides sought to bridge differences and reach a consensus.
"The discussions were held in good spirit and with positive intent," Andarabi told reporters, adding that Pakistan expects the third round - set to begin on Nov 6 - to produce "tangible outcomes," as per Pakistani media.
