Islamabad/Kabul, Oct. 10 -- Pakistan carried out airstrikes in Afghanistan late Thursday night, striking Kabul and later the Margha Bazaar area in Barmal district of Paktika province, within a space of a few hours.

As per Afghan International, 29 shops were destroyed in the Margha Bazaar strikes, though the number of casualties has not yet been confirmed, with the Afghan Taliban yet to issue any comments on the incident.

The strikes appeared to target senior members of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), including its leader Noor Wali Mehsud.
