Lucknow, Feb. 18 -- Karnataka batsman Devdutt Padikkal suffered an injury scare on Day 4 of the Ranji Trophy 2025-26 semifinal against Uttarakhand, overshadowing his career-best innings.

The left-handed batsman hurt his finger while attempting a diving catch at gully and walked off the field during Uttarakhand's first innings on Wednesday.

Padikkal, batting at No. 3, had earlier scored a scintillating 232 off 330 balls at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, including 29 fours and three sixes, helping Karnataka post a massive total of 736 in 194.4 overs. Uttarakhand struggled in reply and were bowled out for 233, with Vidyadhar Patil and Vyshak Vijaykumar taking three wickets each.
