New Delhi, Feb. 4 -- The union Government has intensified its campaign to make India drug-free by 2029, urging all concerned stakeholders to prepare a comprehensive three-year roadmap for the period 2026-2029.

Sharing the details in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday, Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai said that the plan is to include a time-bound review mechanism and adopt a whole-of-government approach aimed at dismantling the drug network from its source to distribution channels, while simultaneously addressing the problem of drug abuse.
