Agartala, Feb. 5 -- Tripura has seen a significant increase in flower production over the past seven years under BJP rule, thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's pro-farmer policies, said the State's Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Minister, Ratan Lal Nath, here on Thursday.
He stated that numerous initiatives have been undertaken to promote the growth of floriculture in the state, as the demand for fresh flowers has been increasing daily, which is now being met by the supply from West Bengal and Karnataka.
He noted that flowers play crucial roles in greetings, religious ceremonies, and social and cultural events.
