Varanasi, Jan. 26 -- In a major follow-up operation after the seizure of over 500 boxes of cough syrup from a gym basement in the Rohania area, the Varanasi Commissionerate Police carried out another significant action on Sunday.
The police have already seized assets worth Rs 30.52 crore belonging to the family of the smuggling gang leader, Shubham Jaiswal. On Sunday, the police team returned to confiscate additional family-linked properties under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act, utilizing special powers granted under the law.
