Moscow, June 1 -- As a result of a train accident in Russia's Bryansk Region 47 people, including three children have been hospitalized, the region's governor Alexander Bogomaz said on Sunday.

Earlier in the day, Bogomaz said that a bridge had collapsed in the Vygonichsky district of the Bryansk region. As Moscow Railways reported, the locomotive and carriages of passenger train No. 86 from Klimov to Moscow derailed due to the collapse of the bridge span as a result of illegal interference in transport operations.

"As of 8:00 [05:00 GMT], 47 people, including three children injured in the Vygonichsky District have been hospitalised. Three of them, including one child, are in critical condition," Bogomaz said on Telegram.
