New Delhi, Dec. 16 -- At least 228 flights were cancelled on Monday due to adverse weather conditions, severely disrupting arrivals and departures at major airports such as Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Hyderabad.

Poor visibility led to the cancellation of 131 departures and 97 arrivals, with five flights diverted so far.

The airline said adverse weather conditions have disrupted flight schedules and advised passengers to check their flight status before heading to the airport.

IndiGo also recommended that passengers leave earlier than usual, as low visibility has affected road traffic and movement.
