Chandigarh, Feb. 15 -- After an eight-year gap, the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana is set to undergo a democratic transition, with elections scheduled for mid-March. The electoral body recently published the definitive list of 157 contenders who will be battling for 25 prestigious seats within the Council.

While the polling for Chandigarh-based advocates is fixed for March 17, the legal fraternity across Punjab and Haryana will exercise their franchise on March 18.
