Bhubaneswar, Feb. 14 -- A Christian family in Kapena village, Umarkote block, Nabarangpur district, Odisha, has been denied the right to bury a deceased relative, sparking outrage and concerns over the safety and dignity of the Christian minority in the region.

Pallab Lima, National President of the Rastriya Christian Morcha, strongly condemned the incident, describing it as a blatant violation of human rights.

According to Lima, tensions in Kapena village have escalated due to targeted attacks on the Christian community, including the forced closure of prayer halls and repeated harassment.
