Mumbai, Oct. 19 -- Opposition parties today announced a joint protest march on November 1 in Mumbai to demand the rectification of flaws in the election process and protest alleged irregularities in voter lists. Party leaders urged citizens who value democracy to participate in the movement.

Leaders present at the briefing included Shiv Sena (Thackeray faction) MP Sanjay Raut, MNS leader Bala Nandgaonkar, Congress spokesperson Sachin Sawant, NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) chief Jayant Patil, and CPI leader Prakash Reddy. All leaders pledged full support and participation in the march, calling it a movement to safeguard democracy.
