Hyderabad, April 12 -- union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Sunday said that those opposing the Women's Reservation Bill would go down in history as villains.
In a statement, he urged all political parties that advocate women's empowerment to support the Bill in Parliament, calling it a historic step initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide 33 per cent reservation for women in politics.
He said the demand for political reservations for women in legislative bodies has existed for decades and described the Bill as a symbol of the aspirations of women across the country.
