Thiruvananthapuram, Jan. 12 -- The revered Murajapam ritual at the Lord Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, one of the most ancient and spiritually significant observances of the shrine, will conclude with the grand Lakshadeepam on January 14, marking the culmination of the 56-day-long Vedic chanting ceremony.
Lakshadeepam is a sacred ritual during which one lakh traditional oil lamps are lit simultaneously, transforming the historic temple and its surroundings into a radiant spectacle of light and devotion, Travancore Royal family member Aditya Varma told UNI.
The Murajapam, which commenced on November 20, 2025, is conducted once every six years and holds immense religious and historical importance.
