New Delhi, Feb. 2 -- Delhi Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa, addressing a programme at Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary on the occasion of World Wetlands Day, described wetlands as the foundation of life, culture, and environmental security.
He stated that the conservation of water bodies is not only our environmental responsibility but is also intrinsically linked to the protection of our traditions and the security of future generations.
He added that the Central Government has accorded national mission status to environmental conservation, and the Delhi Government is taking equally firm and result-oriented steps in the same direction.
