Bhubaneswar, July 9 -- The Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC), a state government undertaking, has set an ambitious target to produce 50 million tonnes of minerals and generate a sales revenue of Rs 30,000 crore in the financial year 2025-26.
The announcement was made during a review meeting of the corporation held today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
The meeting reviewed several key issues, including the extension of mining leases, environmental clearances, and the operationalization of new mines.
A major focus was placed on boosting bauxite production, with a target of 3.6 million tonnes for the current year and a plan to increase it to 6 million tonnes next year.
