Ranchi, Aug. 4 -- Old ally and former legislator Surya Singh Besra today mourned the death
of former Chief Minister and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) founder Shibu Soren, calling it an "irreparable loss to Jharkhand and the tribal movement."
Besra paid rich tributes to Soren, popularly revered as 'Dishom Guru', and said that his passing marks the end of an era.
"The entire state and the country are in mourning. We have lost the maker of Jharkhand," he said.
He recalled his deep personal bond with Soren and claimed that the veteran tribal leader had once publicly remarked, "One day, Surya Singh Besra will take forward the Jharkhand movement as my successor."
