Kendrapara, April 24 -- The Additional District and Sessions Judge-cum-Special Court under the POCSO Act in Kendrapara on Thursday sentenced a youth to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs.57,000 for kidnapping and raping a minor girl. Special Public Prosecutor Manoj Kumar Sahoo said the convict, identified as Jagan Samal of Gandikipur under Kujanga Police Station in Jagatsinghpur district, had kidnapped a 17-year-old girl from the Tantiapala Marine Police Station area on November 18, 2020. The victim's father lodged an FIR at the Tantiapala Marine Police Station on November 19, 2020.
