Bhubaneswar, March 19 -- A teacher of a government-run high school in Bhubaneswar has been placed under suspension for alleged negligence in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list duties.

Ms. Rashmi Sahu, an assistant teacher at the Government High School, Chandrasekharpur Phase-II, has been suspended from service, an order issued today by the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) said.

Ms Sahu had been appointed as a Booth Level Officer (BLO) for Booth No. 109 under Assembly Constituency No. 113. She was engaged in the Special Intensive Revision exercise, for ensuring foolproof electoral roll.
