Bhubaneswar, Feb. 11 -- The Authorized Officer of the Special Court, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar, on Tuesday confiscated immovable and movable assets worth Rs. 3.10 crore belonging to former Jharsuguda Sub-Collector Pradeep Kumar Barik.
The court confiscated the property in a case filed by Odisha Vigilance.
The confiscated property includes immovable assets such as a multi-storied building and two plots in Bhubaneswar, as well as movable assets, including cash and gold.
Barik was charge-sheeted by Odisha Vigilance under Section 13(2) read with Section 13(1)(e) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, and Section 109 of the IPC for possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
