Kendrapara, March 4 -- Kendrapara police on Tuesday arrested, a sexagenarian for his alleged involvement in raping a four years old girl in his village.
The incident occurred under Kendrapara Sadar police station on Monday, IIC of Kendrapara Sadar police station Bimal Mallick said.
According to Mallick, the victim minor girl's family member lodged an FIR on Monday night alleging that while their 4-years old daughter was playing near the house, Pravakar Mallick, took their daughter after luring her and allegedly raped her in a lonely place.
Acting on the FIR, Kendrapara Sadar police registered a case under various sections,including Section 65 of BNS ; Section 4 of the POCSO Act, and arrested the accused sexagenarian.
