Kendrapara, July 28 -- Marshaghai police in Odisha's Kendrapara district today arrested a 31-year-old man for circulating obscene photographs of his wife on WhatsApp.

According to Tapan Kumar Nayak, Inspector-in-Charge of Marshaghai police station, the accused has been identified as Gyanaranjan Majhi (31), a resident of Gadaromita village under Marshaghai police limits.

He was later produced before the SDJM Court, which remanded him to judicial custody, the IIC said.

The arrest followed a complaint lodged by Majhi's wife on July 23. In her complaint, the woman alleged that she came in contact with Gyanaranjan in 2017. They later went to Gujarat in October that year, where they got married. The couple has a son.
