Bhubaneswar, April 22 -- The Odisha government today directed the District Collectors and Municipal Commissioners across the State to draw up Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the safety of census enumerators engaged in the ongoing census operations.
It may be noted here that the first phase of the 2027 Census is currently underway in the state, with house-listing operations being conducted from April 16 to May 15.
During the month-long period, enumerators will visit households to collect data on housing conditions, family amenities, and other demographic details.
