Bhubaneswar, March 16 -- In a tragic incident, ten patients lost their lives after a fire broke out in the Trauma Care ICU of SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack on Monday. Thirteen other patients are currently undergoing treatment in the ICU.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, accompanied by Health and Family Welfare Minister Mukesh Mahaling, visited the hospital following the incident.
The Chief Minister ordered a judicial probe into the cause of the fire and announced an ex gratia of Rs.25,000 for the next of kin of the deceased patients.
