Bhubaneswar, April 18 -- East Coast Railway has recorded significant progress during the financial year 2025-26 across infrastructure development, safety, speed enhancement, and passenger amenities, reinforcing its commitment to a safer, more efficient, and passenger centric railway network, officials said.

Passenger amenities witnessed wide ranging improvements across the zone.

Concrete surfacing was completed on 73 platforms, while 69 high level platforms were constructed to enable safer and more convenient boarding, said ECoR officials.

Shelter extensions were provided at 38 stations, and over 1,073 benches were installed to enhance passenger comfort.
