Bhubaneswar, May 11 -- In a major infrastructure push for western Odisha, the state government has decided to upgrade the Bhawanipatna-Khariar road from a two-lane stretch to a four-lane corridor, addressing a long-pending demand of the people of Bhawanipatna and surrounding areas.
Announcing the decision, Works Minister Prithviraj Harichandan said the ambitious road expansion project will significantly improve regional connectivity while creating new economic opportunities for residents, farmers, and traders across Kalahandi and Nuapada districts.
