Bhubaneswar, Oct. 11 -- : The Odisha Cabinet has approved the promulgation of the Odisha Shops and Commercial Establishments (Amendment) Ordinance, 2025, aimed at improving the ease of doing business in the state.
During its 27th meeting on September 29, the Cabinet approved amendments to the Odisha Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1956. The amendments are designed to reduce the compliance burden on small businesses, stimulate economic activity by providing impetus to entrepreneurs, create employment opportunities, and enhance the ease of doing business in Odisha.
