Bhubaneswar, July 8 -- The Odisha Government today launched an innovative initiative for the promotion of urban horticulture, implemented by the Central Horticultural Experiment Station (ICAR-IIHR), Bhubaneswar.
Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Agriculture & Farmers' Empowerment, K V Singh Deo, flagged off a campaign vehicle to promote rooftop gardening in urban areas. The campaign is funded under the State Plan Scheme.
The awareness vehicle will operate across various zones of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack for over a month, reaching residential communities, educational institutions, Resident Welfare Associations, city-based organizations, and the general public.
