Bhubaneswar, Feb. 6 -- In a step towards expanding affordable housing options for the urban poor and working population, the Odisha government has initiated the process of identifying vacant and unutilized Central and state government buildings and quarters located in urban areas for conversion into affordable rental Housing (ARH) under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY)-Urban 2.0.
The initiative will help transform unutilized public assets into long-term rental income generating housing units, while simultaneously supporting urban workforce stability, strengthening local economies.
