Odisha to conduct statewide fire safety mock drill on March 28

Bhubaneswar, March 24 -- In a major step to improve fire safety across the state, Director General of Odisha Fire Services, Dr Sudhansu Sarangi, announced that a statewide fire safety mock drill will be held on March 28. He urged all Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) to actively cooperate to ensure the success of this important initiative.

Dr Sarangi made the announcement during a high-level virtual workshop on Fire Safety Awareness and Preparedness, organized by the Housing & Urban Development (H&UD) Department in collaboration with Odisha Fire Services.

The session aimed to synchronize emergency response protocols and enhance the technical preparedness of all ULBs in Odisha.
