Bhubaneswar, Jan. 31 -- In a major boost to women's participation in public transport, the Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT), Odisha's flagship and most trusted urban mobility service, has launched a pioneering initiative to induct women drivers into its AMA Bus operations.
As part of the first phase of the programme, 20 women drivers holding valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) licences have been selected for advanced professional training in Pune.
The trainees departed by flight on Saturday to undergo specialised instruction aimed at strengthening their expertise in modern city bus operations.
