Bhubaneswar, Jan. 16 -- The State-Level Innovation and Startup Competition, organized by the Odisha Higher Education Department, is making significant strides in nurturing creativity among students and strengthening Odisha's startup ecosystem, said Electronics & Information Technology Minister Mukesh Mahaling.
Inaugurating the competition here on Friday, Mahaling highlighted that such initiatives encourage students to move beyond textbook learning, engage in advanced research, and embrace entrepreneurship, thereby contributing to societal development.
Referring to the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Minister noted that higher education is increasingly focusing on experiential learning and research.
