Bhubaneswar, March 3 -- In view of the ongoing war situation in West Asia, the Odisha government has constituted a dedicated working group to ensure the safety and well-being of Pravasi Odias residing in the affected region.
The decision was taken at a high-level review meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg. The meeting was convened following directions from Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi to assess the prevailing situation and initiate necessary precautionary measures.
The working group has been formed in coordination with the Odisha Parivar Directorate, the Home Department, the State Labour Directorate, and the office of the Protector of Emigrants under the Ministry of External Affairs.
