Bhubaneshwar, April 7 -- The Debrigarh wildlife sanctuary, home to a wide range of flora and fauna besides picturesque forest ambience, in Odisha's Bargarh district has emerged as an ecotourism hotspot, attracting both domestic and overseas tourists to boost local economy.

The Debrigarh ecotourism sites recorded Rs.6.02 crore revenue with 1.4 lakh footfall of tourists with more than 50,000 from Italy, France, US, UK, Canada, West Indies, Germany, Finland, Ireland, Spain and Brazil in the 2025-26 fiscal. The generated revenue and tourist footfall bettered the figures recorded in 2024-25 fiscal, said a Forest official.
