Puri, May 9 -- The 21-day-long Chandan Yatra, one of Odisha's prominent summer festivals associated with Lord Jagannath, concluded today with the observance of Bhaunri, the final day of the sacred boating ritual in the pilgrim town of Puri.
During the annual festival, Madanmohan, the representative deity of Lord Jagannath, along with deities Lakshmi, Saraswati, Bhudevi, Shree Devi, Ramakrushna, and the Panch Mahadevas (five Shiva deities), participated daily in a ceremonial procession from the Sri Jagannath Temple to Narendra Tank, located around 1.5 kilometres away.
