Bhubaneswar, March 25 -- Odisha is rapidly becoming a hub for mushroom cultivation, with strong government backing and substantial logistical support for producers, said Deputy Chief Minister K.V. Singh Deo.

Speaking at the Mushroom Conclave 2026 in Bhubaneswar, organized by the Agricultural Promotion and Investment Corporation of Odisha Limited (APICOL), Singh Deo highlighted the state's leading position in India's mushroom production, accounting for 11percent of the nation's total output.

This year alone, Odisha produced 63,000 metric tons of mushrooms, he revealed.
