Kendrapara, Sept. 2 -- In a major crackdown, police have arrested four persons, including three dacoits, and recovered 11 kg of gold, 5 kg of silver, cash worth Rs.9.45 lakh, and a country-made gun from their possession.
DIG (Central Range) Satyajit Naik said the arrested accused are aged between 22 and 32 years. Two of them belong to Khordha district, while one each is from Cuttack and Nayagarh.
According to the FIR lodged on August 24 by 50-year-old Arundhuti Sahu of Sarapari village under Jankia police limits, eight unidentified culprits wearing helmets stormed her jewellery shop, Sai Sonu Alankar, at Chhanagiri.
