Bhubaneswar, Feb. 4 -- In a significant boost to experiential and nature-based tourism, Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on Wednesday flagged off three tourism caravans at Dhauli, marking the state's entry into caravan tourism aimed at offering travellers greater comfort, safety, and flexibility.

Speaking on the occasion, Parida said caravan tourism is well established in several European countries and Odisha's initiative seeks to attract young travellers, adventure enthusiasts, and offbeat explorers who prefer immersive travel experiences close to nature.

She added that caravan tourism provides visitors with privacy, freedom of movement, and an exclusive way to discover destinations at their own pace.
