Bhubaneswar, March 18 -- The Odisha government has set a target of creating 1.5 lakh jobs in the government sector over the next five years, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced on Tuesday.
Majhi stated that after assuming office, the government held a high-level review meeting with the heads and senior officials of all selection agencies.
By the end of March, all departments have been instructed to identify vacant positions and expedite the recruitment process.
The Chief Minister emphasized that work is already underway in this direction, with a commitment to providing 65,000 jobs within the first two years. The overall target is to generate 1.5 lakh government jobs within five years.
